Is Vikrant Massey the new villain in Ranveer Singh starrer Don 3? Here’s what we know

Last year, Farhan Akhtar revealed Ranveer Singh as the new Don in the teaser. This film will mark the first collaboration between Ranveer Singh and Kiara Advani. Currently in development, the action drama has not shared many details. Reports are emerging that Vikrant Massey has been approached to play the villain in the Ranveer Singh starrer Don 3: The Final Chapter.

Vikrant Massey to play villain in Ranveer Singh led Don 3 – Reports

According to an India Today report, “Vikrant , who delivered a career-defining performance in 12th Fail, has been approached to take on the role of the villain in Ranveer Singh starrer Don 3. While this prospect is exciting, Vikrant has yet to finalize the offer.”

The teaser features Ranveer’s voiceover, likening his awakening to that of a lion- “Sher jo so raha hain woh jagega kab, puchte hai yeh sab. Unse keh do phir jaag utha hoon main, aur phir samne jald aane ko…”

Earlier this year, Farhan introduced Kiara Advani as the film’s leading lady. The project is rumoured to have a significant budget of Rs 275 crore. It is expected to be shot in various grand international locations.

Farhan Akhtar on Don 3

In a recent interview, Farhan discussed initially considering Shah Rukh Khan for Don 3. But noted that they could not find the right direction for the story. “When I first started thinking about doing a Don 3, I thought about writing something for Shah Rukh, but we just couldn’t find the right place for the story to go. We couldn’t find common ground, so that didn’t happen. I decided to rethink the film and delve into ‘what made Don, Don,’ which led to Ranveer Singh feeling like the right choice for the role,” he said.

Vikrant Massey is currently starring in The Sabarmati Report, which was released today. It has received an enthusiastic response from audiences.
